Wild Angelica -angelica sylvestris – is suited to very moist fertile soils and is often found at the edge of streams or in wet grassland. It can be grown in sun or shade, and in gardens, looks nice in a flower border or by a pond edge. Plants are particularly attractive to insects such as Bees, Butterflies and Ladybirds. Wild Angelica can grow to about 5 foot high on rich soils and has pale pink or white flowers that appear quite late in the season from July to Sptember. It looks best growing with other wetland plants that flower in mid to late summer such as Purple loosestrife, Meadow Sweet, and Hemp Agrimony.
